The Dubai-based real estate company Emaar Properties has defeated a 1.2 billion dollar lawsuit that was filed against it by its subsidiary. According to reports appearing in the Arabic daily Asharq Al-Awsat, Emaar Economic City, a subsidiary of Emaar Properties and Jadawel International has sued Emaar Properties in 2004, seeking for damages amounting to $1.2 billion. They alleged that Emaar Properties failed to execute certain projects, thus violating the conditions of partnership.
